WHEYROSE is a protein with added digestive enzymes and freeze-dried fruit pieces. It is easily digested, offers an easy and quick way to provide protein, can be eaten by people with lactose intolerance and tastes delicious, so it works well as an addition to meals and desserts.

What is WHEYROSE?

WHEYROSE is a high-protein supplement based on highest-quality lactose-free whey protein concentrate, which is considered to be one of the best sources of protein in our diet. Whey protein is characterised by easy digestion, fast absorption and a high content of essential branched-chain amino acids, BCAA.

Additionally, we enriched our product with the DigeZyme® digestive enzyme complex, patented by the American Sabinsa laboratory.

It consists of five digestive enzymes such as amylase, cellulase, lipase, lactase and protease. Digestive enzymes help break down macromolecules into smaller elements so that ingredients from food and our supplement assimilate even better. This helps minimise or even eliminate digestive problems.

A few words about lactose

Lactose is a milk sugar made up of glucose and galactose molecules. Lactose occurs naturally in milk - cow’s milk contains from 4.6 to even 4.9 g of lactose in every 100g. Lactose is also found in many other products including: ice cream, kefir, buttermilk, white cheese, sour cream and natural yoghurt. Lactose is essential during infancy. The enzyme responsible for its digestion is lactase, whose activity declines during the subsequent stages of human development, thus leading to lactose intolerance and problems with the digestive system.

What does lactose intolerance look like and what are the symptoms?

Lactose intolerance is a very common condition these days, which is activated when there is a deficiency of lactase, the enzyme needed to break down lactose in the body. Intolerance manifests itself in unpleasant gastrointestinal symptoms. People with lactose intolerance complain of: nausea, abdominal pain, flatulence and colic.
